We were proud when our pilot program attracted the attention of the press, who wanted to make national news about the way the YouthBuild Cluj participants are learning for new jobs. The first exposure was with the Digi24 Cluj-Napoca team, who filmed interviews at the theoretical courses organized by the Craftsmen Association, and on the Habitat for Humanity Cluj worksite, where the young participants are doing their practical work for their qualification.
Their first meeting with the reporter, at the theoretical course, was tinged with shyness. The participants aren’t used to be interviewed or to talk in front of a camera, but with encouragement, they started talking about what they are doing in the program and what they are learning.
We soon discovered that a short news would allow us tell the most important information about the program, so we we’re glad to get invited in the Recruited in Cluj show, where we had 50 minutes to give context to the program and explain all the activities included in the program. We talked about the theoretical and practical work of learning about construction work, and also about the activities coordinated by the Romanian Scouts, which developed the participants’ skills in working as a team and encouraged them to have initiative.
But we’ll let you watch the show. Enjoy watching it!
